I know this is an old post, however someone now might benefit from this.
I tried an Eminence Legend 1258 speaker and did not feel it was all that great even though I used 2 of them in a 1989 Fender Princeton Stereo Chorus (solid state) where they shined.
I then tried an Eminence Canabus Rex. Nice tone but not as loud as a Warehouse G12C/S. The G12C/S is louder and great sounding speaker. I play with the Bass on 6 and Treble on 6. Anything above 6 on the Treble has highs out the Wazoo.

This is what I have in mine and I love it. It's one of my main gigging amps. Although I use the 'tall stack' pt and a bandmaster ot in mine with 6L6 or 5881, so can we really call it a Princeton Reverb

No, it's not a PR your amp to me is more of a Tremlux with reverb.

My build has a p10r in it. Its great for bedrooms and maybe very small venues. I don't like the amp cranked into any appreciable overdriven tones. And I really doubt that I could adjust a few things to get it to do that the way I like it. Main reason I'm going for a tweed tremolux when time and money permits.
But it does the clean PR thing very well. To me it's one of those " don't make it what it's not" deals. I really like it with the 10 inch.
That being said I've never played one with a twelve in it.

I tried an Eminence Legend 1258 in my Princeton Reverb Kit amp and wasn’t impressed. I then tried an Eminence C Rex. It was very good sounding. I then compared it with a Warehouse G12C/S speaker (one of two previously used in 2 other amps). I was surprised that even though the C Rex was rated a little higher in sensitivity the Warehouse G12C/S was perceivably a little stronger in output and already broken in. It had the same low end and sweet high end as the C Rex. The C Rex may have opened up in time but decided to go with the G12C/S as it was already broken in and to save money. It is a great speaker!. You would be happy with either one.
