Fender 6G14-A Showman Clone

Post by lljsullins »

Anyone here ever built a 6G14-A clone? I'm looking to build this monster with a 6G15 reverb tank. Thanks!

Your gonna find the the first filter node and its parallel 600 volt 20 uf filters a bit of a problem!
Your likely going to need to use series 80 to 100 uf 350 to 500 volt filters each of which is paralleld with a 220k 1 watt resistor.

Also be sure to keep the output side / end of the reverb tank atleast 10 inches away horizontally and 5 inches away vertically from the power transformer otherwise you will have a large amount of hum when you turn up the reverb!
