Well I looked the datasheet for the JJ 6V6 today. For some reason I thought they listed the max plate voltage at 450v. Turns out that's actually for the screens. 500v max for the plates and 14w dissipation. I had always thought it was 12w like other 6v6's but I was incorrect.

This makes me feel a bit better about the voltages present in the amp. Since I did the bias calculations based off of 12w instead of 14w I came up high at around 70% (18ma @~455v) when in reality its more like 58%. So it could probably get cranked up a bit more and bring the voltages down further. However I feel like it will probably be okay. Unless my friend experiences unreasonably short tube life, I'm kinda inclined to leave it as it is. Unless you guys think otherwise?
