So I just put in a celestion g10 gold 10" 40-watt alnico in my Princeton Reverb reissue and what a great improvement. I think the Jenson 10 was fine but I found it to be overally bright and lacking in overall balance.
That is definitely not the case with the celestion g10 gold 10" 40-watt alnico. Firstly the bright top end was replaced by a clear vibrant top end that I was looking for. The overall tone is just far warmer and more balanced sounding to me. I also noticed that the speaker does not break up until much greater volume. Since I use a tube screamer as my primary overdrive it sounds much cleaner and warm as well over driven.
My verdict is money well spent and has given me one bad ass amplifier.

Lover of great tone.

Good advice. In my experience, the speaker for a Princeton Reverb is a C10N. Hard to find sometimes, so the alternative is welcome.
1x10 Gold
I allways wanted to change the speaker in my Diaz PXX,but it wont fit in the little combo cab,Everything but the 10 jensens hits the power tubes.Just a
bad design in the combo cab.I might put together a 1x10 cab for one of those.I agree about the money as well,Glad it worked for you,Mike

Can you use a 10" anlico without the cover on the magnet, should be smaller and not be in the way.ampmike wrote:I allways wanted to change the speaker in my Diaz PXX,but it wont fit in the little combo cab,Everything but the 10 jensens hits the power tubes.Just a
