No big changes are needed; install a 15K where the 82K is indicated and if you have a 39K resistor and 25k pot to ground, it should get you close. If you have two 15K's, do 15K, 15K & 25K pot.Herzog wrote:Ok, clearly experimentation is the key. I'll sub some other values and see where it takes me.

Ok I'll order some 15k. Meantime upping the 39k to 56k has given me 29ma minimum which will keep the tubes happier till I dial it in a bit more.
TM, what effect does replacing the 82k with 15k have on this part of the circuit?

It's just compensating for the difference in forward voltage drop of selenium verses silcon diode. As long you have the equivalent resistance to bias up the tubes it doesn't really matter, however you can juggle the value to change the range of the pot sweep.Herzog wrote:Ok I'll order some 15k.
