I resolved another is issue, the presence pot was wired incorrectly but correcting it did nothing to decrease the hum or resolve the tone circuit problems. Chop sticking my way around the chassis I did notice that the pin 2 lug of V2 is very microphonic and that changing the tube did nothing to make it less so.

Yeah i`ve seen it wired (2) ways like a jmp marshall, n a dumble! Mine`s wired like a dumble ( cap comes off wiper to ground, ground lug unused) It doesn`t work ext well like this in the amp, but i like tone ( converted to tweedle dee spec) SO i`l prob lv alone..

chek bias..i run mine lower than usual w/good results, that lowers noise too..
