Anemic Bass Control V-champ

Post by angelodp »

Hi, Have a Vibro Champ that is pretty anemic on the bass pot, is that typical. I see some strange voltage fluctuations, will report soon. As I dial the bass knob there is almost no change. Looks stock inside with a few replacement caps that are spec value.

I have not owned or worked on one of these so I am interested in any impressions.

Even with a good replacement speaker I don't get much change from it. With an original speaker I would expect even less.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.

I find you get more cut than boost from the bass control.
