5D4 TWEED SUPER carcass parts help!

Post by tubetek »

Just had a 5D4 dropped off for "evaluation / repair... DAMN
Seems about 20 years ago, the PT blew and was promptly removed and lost to the ages! Everything else looks to be there...
Does anyone know where I could buy the correct (or clone) Power Transformer for this? Details are sketchy this old; the schematic and layout have no part numbers and no voltages listed...
As funky and beat up as this is, I'd really like to leave it as close to original as safe / possible. Any help / guidance appreciated.

B+ is shown at 370, so with 5U4 I'd guess something with 585V CT? Tweed Bandmaster, perhaps? http://www.classictone.net/40-18029.pdf

Thanks, Martin...That matches the voltages; but it is a laydown mount and the 5D4 uses a standup style... Hoping to keep it as close to original as I can. MC has one that matches that spec in a stand up but it seems to be unavailable or discontinued... # 40-18094

Looks like the upright version is available to me: http://www.classictone.net/40-18094.html Triode seems to have it available on their site: http://store.triodestore.com/40-18094.html
