5F10 Harvard - In Progress

Post by ToneMerc »

Started on a 5F10 Harvard build. It's the stock circuit except I added adjustable bias and GNFB trimmers. Also, there will be a switch behind the speaker jack that can disable the GNFB.

Chassis: modified Weber 5F2a
Iron: Heyboer custom PT & MCI Tweed Deluxe OT
Resistors: Piher CF & CTS NOS pots
Caps: F&T , Sprague TE & Jupiter
Glass:RCA 6V6, 5Y3, 12AX7,6AV6 or 6AT6
10" Speaker: TBD

Major style points for black red and silver color scheme. Already sounds awesome!

TM, What's you're opinion on the red Jupiter caps?
I put them in my 5E3 build in place of some blue sozo's.
They sound good ,but I'm not hearing much difference in tone as of yet, but then again I haven't played the amp extensively since the swap.
