New member ... just introducing myself.

Post by bkieffer »

I've never built an entire amp myself before, but I'm planning to. I've fixed plenty of amps in the past, so I'm well aware of most of the ways to not end up dead.

Already searched the forum for noob suggestion posts, and I think I've got some good starting points. Great forum here, hope to visit back frequently. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, but I promise to make liberal use of the Search function before posting new topics :)

Don't forget that wives can be as deadly as filter caps, and I haven't found a way to discharge them yet
Naming your first amp after her may give you some protection :D

I'm going to quote some wise words taken from gahult's sig: "If you want to get laid, you have to go to the farmers market during the game once in a while."

I'm strongly considering a TW clone. Seems like a pretty straightforward build with lots of available documentation.
