I see no reason to suspect is isn't. I think the circuitry description is making it sound somehow more special than it is.....The 7247 is one half of a 12AX& and one half of a 12AT7 (as I recall), so it's likely a differently biased and different sounding overdrive. Thosee tubes (in quality) are hard to get. Secondly, the interior gain trimmer appears to be on the front panel now (making up the 4 overdrive controls). I like th 150 -watts though...More power more gooder.
