I think Omar should open a new room called the NOOSE ROOM and move any argumentative thread to that room. And then close the door on it. No new post information, no e-mails. Make these babys work hard to fight.

I agree... I think for the sake of the board staying cool the best thing to do with someone bugging you is to treat them like you would an angry buffalo. Give him a wide berth and go on about your business (or I s'pose you could shoot the bastard(s) but I won't condone it). If its someone you respect, maybe send 'em a PM and say "hey that was out of line" and if it's not, ignore it.

I'm sorry for gettin wrapped up in the recent drama. You guys are too cool for me to go feeding the fires of worthless arguments, clogging up the board, and distracting people from the good stuff in life.

Well it would appear that the cancer has started . It will only get worse now that the mental patients have been given free reign to the asylum. People will begin to leave quietly, not wanting to get caught in the threads where they will be talked down to, embarrassed, called names and have to email self proclaimed amp gods to get a morsel of information. Rudeness will begat rudeness. Maybe this place is going the way of 18watt.com because like them, we have done just about everything that can be done with a TW and there is nothing left to talk about that is new and exciting. I really don’t have it in me to sit back and watch this happen again to a forum that I have enjoyed all of these past few years. As far as the one bad apple scenario, one bad apple will ruin a whole basket unless someone removes it from the bunch. If no one cares to remove it then the whole basket will become rotten and foul in a very short time.

Giving an angry Buffalo a wide birth and ignoring it will work for a while until you have ignored it so much that you forget it is there and then it will nail you when you least expect it. The buffalo will not become a pussy cat if you ignore it and think it will go away.

It saddens me that we may be approaching this level. There are a lot of good people who have helped this community in an unbeleivable way and I, as well as many others, are grateful to them. I would hate to see them leave. We can fix these issues.

I think instead of hashing it out in public, please email or PM me when you see an issue. I can't read every single post and I don't follow many of the other boards to know about the issues there that may be carried over here.

There are a number of issues that have come up over the years that were taken care of privately. This has helped keep the peace and I hope that we can continue to do this in the future.

How much damage can someone really do to you? So somebody talks down to someone else, its a little annoying, I guess, but what real harm does it do, unless the person being talked down to takes it more seriously than the joke it is. Every time I've had a problem (which has been literally once or twice) I've PM'd Omar and he has straightened it out. The worst thing you can do with someone obviously not thinking clearly is by responding to them in any way other than "knock it off or leave/be banned." Offense is taken. I guess if its that big a deal to you do what you need to do. I'm not saying all this thinking that I know everything that's gone into your thought process on this one. I just think its a shame that the community could lose one of its best resources that easy. You don't owe anyone anything, it'd just suck not to have you around. Hopefully things can quiet down around here, but best of luck to you if they don't.
