New post setting?

Post by BobSimpson »

Do I have to tweak a setting somewhere to get the new posts quick link to bring back a thread I was following before today?
Pick a different quick link perhaps?

No the devs decided that the 'new posts' was better as a 'short list of whats new since your last visit' not a 'history of all new posts I've read over time'... sadly, and the implication I got from reading a thread about it was 'the old form was broken/bugged, we fixed it'

Sadly the only easy way to look back at posts you've replied to probably is to look up the 'your posts' link from the quick links to see where you've been active recently...

kinda stupid, I know.

Thanks, Phil.
Now I'll have to make a non-post in everything I was looking at, but did not necessarily need to comment upon.

Something like this, perhaps

Bob,

You can still use the 'subscribe to topic' feature and you should get email notifications now, that it works again, so you'll know if an update happens. I think if you reply to a thread it auto does that too. But if you want to stealth follow one, you can just sub to the thread... in the thread tools at the top of the thread, it's like a wrench icon.

Edit; fixed to the right tool... :D

Thanks, Phil.
The emoji worked, but I'll try your way.
As an ex-dev, I hate it when they "fix" something.
