Shop Woes

Post by MeanMrMustard »

Had a Mesa Double Rect chassis fall from atop its head cab to the floor a couple days ago. Never had an amp fall before. Both 5U4s were crushed but amazingly the output quad weren’t, but their locator pins all went. That amp is getting new tubes as we pay for our mistakes.

Too quiet around here..

Once dropped one end of an Ampeg SVT chassis while turning it around on my work bench and it landed right on my soldering iron breaking it in half.

Had to order a new solder iron after trying to fix the old one of course.

Xtian, LOL!

Mark, that’s the amp to end all amplifiers being dropped. Damn. I have an old VT-22 head in right now that I thought was big....

I have nothing but 100 watters in right now. Orange, Mesa, Ampeg, EVH. At least they’re finally coming in again. Summertime blues. Like a month where there was nothing.

Crickets and tumbleweeds for like 3 weeks here... Down to four repairs and one build.

Happens this time every year though. Time for vacation. Tybee Island here we come!

It’s as if everything came back to life over the last week. Lots of new business inquiries. Hopefully this valley will become a hill for the next six months.
