Seattle May Day
Seattle Police Dept twitter:
"Officers moving in to break up a moving fight between superheroes and anarchists #SeaMayDay"
"Officers were able to separate the superheroes and their black-clad adversaries. No arrests made."
Only in Seattle.
It's always Halloween in Seattle.

Re: Seattle May Day
The superheroes should have called in the Star Wars reinforcements, and they could attack the anarchists with their lightsabers...
Re: Seattle May Day

Re: Seattle May Day
It was peaceful this year. In the past their was a lot of property damage from the anarchists, which serves no cause.
Support is going forward for a $15 minimum wage in Seattle City limits.

Yeah, but he would probably advocate lowering minimum wage.

I live near Vancouver BC, only about 100 miles North of Seattle, and we call it Lotusland North, it's pretty much the same. I'm sure there are anarchists in Vancouver, along with the bums and junkies too.
Superheroes, not so much. This is Canada after all, we're much too modest for that!

Nice for people who earn a wage until the prices meet the demand and food becomes 2x as unaffordavle for people without wages. Sink the old folks.
Oh. The problem is on the other end. I see it now..

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Well, cattle either do what they can for their families, or share Ayn Rands rape fantasy by wealthy industrialists.Reeltarded wrote:Nice for people who earn a wage until the prices meet the demand and food becomes 2x as unaffordavle for people without wages. Sink the old folks.

Call me naive, but when Spock said, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" I took that as a call to arms.
Simple computer simulations can model capitalism and two party systems, and the results are a concentration of wealth at the top, and a subjugation of democracy. Do you think your representatives view your needs the same as 'Mr wealthy fuck up everything real estate developer, condo bitch, I donate to your campaign, don't bring black people to the games of my slave team."
I swear she has cheek implants.

^^^ You don't understand Ayn Rand.
Spock was my favorite character on Star Trek. Even so, the writers of Spock infused illogical and highly inconsistent characterizations. The quote "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" reveals the Marxist tendencies of the writers rather than that of the fictional Spock predicated on pure logic, personal subjugation of irrational emotion, and mental/physical discipline. Marxism is fundamentally illogical.

Honestly I think paying some kid 15 bucks an hour to flip burgers is stupid. If your an adult flipping burgers then your all ready screwed. To me its the everybody gets a trophy even though you suck mentality. If you want a job that makes more then find one .
But I also think it should be up to the city/state to set the minimum wage so if thats what folks there want
Maybe we shouldnt be making a minimum wage for poor folks but a maximum wage for rich folks noone earns or deserves 300,000,000 a year ever in the history of the world.Hows that for some leftist thinkin.
Funny thing is you can live comfortably here on 15 bucks an hour

Sometimes I suppose my humor is too obscure. Though Ayn Rand would have had an earlier death in the society she preposed. She was a welfare recipient during her battle with cancer.NickC wrote:^^^ You don't understand Ayn Rand.

I'm neither a Marxist or Rand leaning Capitalist. I view politics the same way I view capacitors. Show me the fucking science.

Ultimately it comes down to cattle vs tigers. If you advocate the tigers, there's always going to be one superior to you. So now you're cattle.
If you're cattle, herding, or unions, is the way to neutralize the tigers.
Life forms succeed because the ones that make the wrong choices don't reproduce.
Human intelligence has somewhat negated natural selection.
John Galt is nothing without his pawns.
