Are the oilwimpics over?

Now onto another made up reason to buy stuff to clutter the house.

Anybody else think the coverage of this Olympics sucks?

They made a big deal about having it on Comcast On Demand.

But the events are mostly 2-3 minute clips.

The live stuff sucked as well.

I like the action stuff like sledding and downhill.

Also, Men's Figure Skating?

That is wrong on so many levels.

There was a time it was an ordinary part of Olympics. 40-50-60 years ago. Now.... "not that there's anything wrong with that." Those who wish to observe - hey it's a free country - go right ahead. ;) I'll be observing the inside of some sick amp. TV not only off, I don't have one. Olympic multimillionaire profiteers make nothing on me. Too bad.

Olympics? I guess I missed it. I don't own a TV (haven't had one for over 10 years). I get all the commercials and advertisements I need in my mailbox.

About a year ago, a salesperson from my internet company called and wanted me to sign up for cable TV--special offer. I told her that I don't own a TV. Long silence. She then tried again and I repeated that I don't own a TV. She was dumbfounded and asked, but how do you watch TV? I said, I don't watch TV. It seemed beyond her comprehension that anyone could survive without a TV set.

10 years? That kind of TV's doesn't even exist anymore. They've all been replaced by computers and cell phones. Er, you do have a cell phone, don't you?

I do have a cell phone. I actually got a smartphone a few months ago when the crank broke off my old phone. I'm still trying to figure out what is so smart about it this new phone.

I've been under considerable pressure from wife and daughter for Olympic TV coverage. I refuse. I despise NBC, ABC, and CBS. I will not watch their broadcasts. Period.

Aside from that, I'm just not interested. This morning I watched a lesson DVD by the fabulously talented player, and instructor, Greg Koch. I got more out of watching his lessons than all the Olympics put together. Except for one little part ..... he cracked a joke about the necessity to slow down Yngwie Malmsteen's part ..... which got me laughing hysterically all through that part of the lesson ....... I had to rewind ..... and still I got too cracked up to follow along. The guy is is also a comic genius. You won't get that from Bob Costas! No, you won't!
