Its been laying around for years.I'm gonna finish this thing as soon as I can figure out how to route the binding channel and cut nut slots without spending any money .

yeah, if the color is lighter i would go for it :D looks like a real purty board

also i would say match the neck to the body for the reverse side, walnut sure makes a nice neck but with the alder body it might look wonky... on the other hand the maple headstock looks wonky too...

solution: walnut head stock overlay on maple neck. matchymatchy

there

anyway you choose it should be awesome :)

no,

it needs smaller F-holes, baritone scale, left handed, 8 string, SS/Tube hybrid switch, another neck, and bigger F-holes

best to take it all apart and start again tomorrow...

The fret boards don't usually cause too much of a problem if the grain is not absolutely straight.

But I have seen maple backed necks do some crazy twisting over the years.

I am a fan of quarter sawn wood for necks but most of the times I can't afford it.

I have an old Heartfield Fender Talon that has a twisted neck.
Never bad enough to do anything about but I cringe whenever I look down that neck.
