I am not a mathhead or anything but when we talk about raising negative voltages let's agree that is making the number larger not decreasing the negative towards zero.

Fer'n'stance. My negative is -18. I am going to double it. POW! -36.

Yes, agreed ........ increasing negative voltage means making it MORE negative (moving towards zero would be LESS negative). Absolutely!
