NICE!! Talk about flashbacks....in a good way.

15 yr birthday and I get my first "real" guitar (Gibson SG), playing in my first "real" band and that was the first song that we learned!

38 yrs later (today is my birthday) and I still play that opening riff as a warm-up nearly everytime I pick up a guitar.

Thanks for the happy feelings first thing in the morning!!!

Cheers,
Dave O.

Scorpions Lovedrive. MSG Armed and Ready. I wore out (sigh) the records, the stylus, the player, ect.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

My first concert was:
Rush (Farewell to Kings tour) with
UFO
and the inexplicable Max Webster.

Houston Music Hall in '77 or so.

My first concert, must of been about '73 or '74, was the strangest mix of bands. Lynyrd Skynyrd opened, followed by Golden Earring, with the headliner Blue Oyster Cult.

Which is strange, Golden Earring had 'Radar Love' charting, but this was a couple of years before BOC had success with 'Don't Fear the Reaper'.

Wow! Talk about another set of similar firsts.
My first major rock show was in 1975 in Manchester NH and included Angel, RUSH and BOC as the headliner!

It looks like many of us were innoculated with very similar serum

I say "major" rock show but will also mention that my buddies and I snuck into The Barn in Sunapee a couple of times between 72 and 74 and saw some of Aerosmith's first shows. We didn't truly know what we were seeing at the time...but...we knew that it was f&c*i#g great!!

Nice! I graduated from UNH in 1982. They did a great job with their concerts during my years there.

WTF?!?! Snow....still?

Saw BOC open for the Faces at Tarrant County Convention Center in (IIRC)
1976. Very cool! BOC's whole stage set was black (except for Buck Dharma). The Faces were all white with white carpeting and backline of white Ampegs. Saw UFO open for BOC in '77. Between Schenker and Dharma there was some serious fret-meltdown going on.
