Teach your children well

Kids, don't plug speaker outs into other amplifier inputs or someone will have to call Randall Smith.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Why, has the boy genius patented this too? Heck I do it all the time. Others have too. Back to the 60's. Prior art y'know, if you want to call it art.

Thanks for the headsup Miles.

I have this amp sitting here that used to belong to a famous guy but the OT wasn't the right transformer to get line level, apparently.

Everything should have a BIG RED PLACARD THAT SAYS DON'T

It smells like if we could launch it high enough we could repair up to 50% ozone damage. It works for a few seconds at a time then makes all kind of "hey! stop that!" noise.

I tinkee de ouwput issa toasta!!!

When you started out I thought it had to do with using (usually small) amps as signal boosters. Say a Champ run into another amp. And the Champ loaded with proper dummy resistor. Seen it done with a Peavey Rage too (no resistor required as Rage is solid snake.) And Trower was reported to have used a Champ-size Selmer as a boost in his Procol days.

BUT this is different. Oooh that smell...

So what famous person did this? Inquiring minds want to know. It's Friday evening & almost time for an adult beverage.

Someone's kid did it. Ooopsy! :)

I once ran a 50 Marshall through sets of headphones for a solo. Mass headphone extinction event. I bet we spent 12 Celestions on that record.

Does MB have crap like this laying around? Do they still make this horken fiber chunk? I guess I need to google asshole transformers.

Isn't that what Randy Bachmann did? That's how the Garnet Herzog came about.

Well I did have a glass of wine with lunch @ 3PM. Time to get serious now! Thanx for the encouragement Colossal.

That's right daddio, blame the kid...

Then there was that awful day some "helpful" person plugged the cans I had on, into the output of a Marshall turning out a full power test 1 KHz sine wave. Not only did the headphones go up in smoke, I couldn't hear for a day (L side only) and still have a deep "ditch" in my L ear response @ 6 to 9.5KHz. Same helpful person at a later date blew up his house (trying to emulate Richard Pryor) and that was the end of him. Despite his tricks he really was a good guy & I wish he sorted out his powdered-goods problems & could be alive n well today.

MB have lots of Oatey-OT's. Likely do have the one you need. Fair prices even. Give 'em a call Monday, but never on a Friday - they're all out surfin'.

Gretsch collectors do all kinds of foolish things.

Will call Booger on Monday. This amp is kind of pretty. No idea if this was a standard way of covering them.

MB have made some eye candy amps. Ear candy, maybe not so much. Beats looking at black or cream tolex.

Lefty, what's the Garnet Herzog? They put a l'il amp in the front end sorta? Garnet's one brand that's never crossed my workbench. Though somone threatened to bring one in a couple years ago. Gotta give 'em credit for naming an amp after a movie director.
