Anyone using some kind of angle hardware to attach head cab valences, instead of blocks of wood?
I'm looking at PVC:

or aluminum:

Sure, the wood scraps are free, but they don't say "FASHION!"

For a second I thought this was another one of those UK kitchen listings from the title of your post... Then I saw who posted.

I'm curious to know if you have any luck with non wood material. I think that wood, wood glue and more wood are your best bets, but who knows? I'm an amateur wood worker and haven't tried pvc or aluminum. Are you talking about joining corners?

Re: Cabinet hardware
I've seen some professional builders use L-brackets to hold the front valance on.
I like hardwood cleats verses using pine or soft woods. Drilled, glued, and screwed.
