…well sorted parts bins.

Raise your hand if you're a Virgo. Or similarly afflicted.

Seriously that is crazy. I often look at my stuff and imagine what a mess it would be if someone like you got ahold of it... and all my cats. My 83 (last time I sort of counted) cats. I leave the doors open, you can't breathe in here. My eyes..

Simililarly afflicted. Not a Virgo but all my 64 and 24 drawer bins are labeled with little Avery 0.75" x 0.5" printed labels. All parts are inventoried and databased.

It's a sickness for sure.
No matter how many storage drawers you have.
Or how well organized they are.
The stuff takes over.
Too embarrassed to post a pic of my affliction.

I have a large, 30-drawer parts bin. It sits near the back corner of the workbench. There's not much in it, and whatever is there is likely misplaced or there by accident. Underneath the workbench there are 10 large plastic tubs full of parts. Semi-organized. Semi-labeled. Which is to say ..... almost completely disorganized and unlabeled.

I think your way is better than mine. Lots better.

Mines like Colossal's - apart from the labels, inventory & database.

Born just a couple days early to be a Virgo, so I'm a Leo. It's right there in the name.

Organized chaos is what I have. It looks a mess but I know where my parts & tools are, most of the time. I would get more organized, but have to run out in the sunlit veldt and chase gazelles - it's a lion thing. Hear me roar!

I have 9 wall mount drawer units and will get a few more to hold all my components.

I hate it when I order stuff I already have. :)

I now am the proud owner of about 1/2 dozen of those parts trays.
Once in a while I go into a rage of "I have to organize", but never quite finish.

Seems getting it half done is even worse than total chaos.
Ditto on buying stuff I already have.

It's a waste of time. I have 1.5 of everything.

I have a few of those parts trays. What I like most is when you accidently bump it after you got it competely analy organized. The dividers lift a bit and the standoffs are mixed with the screws which are mixed with the nuts, which are mixed with whatever...Then you get to reorganize them all over again. I hate those things.
