Electric Ladyland never sounded so good.

Post by LeftyStrat »

Had to go get the results from the cardiologist for all the heart tests I've had recently (nuclear stress test, echocardiogram).

The bad news is you guys are going to have to put up with me a bit longer. I don't have any heart issues other than a slightly odd mitral valve, with causes a murmur, but it's something I was born with and not a big issue.

I didn't realize how much this had been weighing on me, I guess I tried to keep my fears from affecting my wife and kids.

I got out of the doctors office and the sun was shining. Windows down in the Jeep, and Electric Ladyland loud enough to break windows and set off alarms on the way home.

Pulled into the neighborhood, and the crotchety woman that never speaks to me gave me a dirty look. I just grinned from ear to ear.

Life is good, and even better without worry.

Cheers to all my friends on TAG. I'm one happy camper.

Now I can get off my terror-stricken ass and build something.

My friend Vic from the Derailors was telling me he just had a stent put in and is now working out and eating right. He is feeling better than ever. Seems all us old guys need to be better with our health, eat our vegetables and walk the dog everyday.

I really need glasses. I read that as "vegetables with the dog" or something. Not bad. PM me for the other ingredients.

Lefty, does this mean you will be coming for breakfast? Just remember to look both ways when I am driving.

Thanks to everyone. My biggest fear was the doctor telling me I needed a triple bypass. My uncle had that and was never the same afterwards. He died within three years. The terror for me was a doctor saying 'you'll die if you don't do this' and knowing you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I'm going to take this as a gift. I've been paralyzed with fear, which sucks. I just need to build something and record something so my kids have something to remember me by if I do kick the bucket.

No, but my sister is coming to visit and I found out the bed and breakfast across the street from my house only charges $35 a night for a room with a twin bed. That's got to be cheaper than anything other than the hotels with the complimentary bed bugs.

Miles, I could hook you up with the owner. She's really cute from a distance. You need glasses so it might be a match made in heaven.

I suppose eating vegetables with the dog would be ok, but he does not like to share and I don't like eating on my hands and knees.

Lefty, I may be in Seattle next month maybe we could compare notes. My son goes to UW and my wife is going to a Seminar there.

We should all definitely record things for our kids, even if it is just noodling and screwing around.

My dad played the piano all the time when I was growing up. After he passed on, I can't remember one bit of what he played. It came to me in a dream once, but it was gone again when I woke up. I really wish I had recorded him playing.

My kids will have all kinds of recordings of me playing guitar. Most of it is pretty crappy, but I think it will mean something to them some day.

Glad you have a new lease on life Lefty. Make music!
