They put whiskey in FUDGE? Orter be slapped upside the haid! Waste of good whiskey. Put nuts, even fruit in yer fudge. Whiskey in the glass. By golly I think I'll have one now. Fudge indeed!

Enjoy the event anyways. (Insert beer-guzzling emoticon here)

By the time the fudge is cooked & set there would be no alcohol left - bummer! And a super smoky scotch like Laphroaig, you might as well stir "essence of burnt out cigar butt" into your fudge. Wrong, all wrong I say. If you must whiskey-up your fudge, try some brandy. If you want to get fancy - cognac, or better yet - armagnac. I imagine that could work, but the alky-hol's all gone nonetheless. Sip your favorite tipple whilst nippin' on a brick o fudge, now that sounds good to me.

Chad you got any Michigan cherry brandy? Some local kirschwasser? That'd be just about right. Whip up a batch & send it around. A shot in the sauce, and a shot in the chef. (':D')

Lessons learned:
1. Regardless of spelling, if not brewed in Scotland or Ireland it's not what it calls itself
2. Blended stuff is for the 4th drum of the evening, the first 3 should be single malts. Snobs will insist on single malt single barrel.
3. The more difficult to pronounce name on the bottle the better and more expensive the stuff inside is.
4. You'll be asked to leave to the premises when you no longer can pronounce it.
5.Don't drink the water, fish copulate in it.
6. When drinking with somebody you don't agree 100% with, you toast like this:
"Here's to you! And here's to me!
May we never disagree - but if we do:
F***k you!!! Here's to me!!"

It was fun. Whisky flavored fudge? Nah, but chili spiced dark chocolate with 75% cocoa content beats peanuts anytime.
No hangover :!: Because I didn't drink the water :D :!:

Right on. I tried some so-called scotch made in Japan. Not even close, just awful, sorry, stick with sake' or beer.

That photo of the fudge choices set our teeth on edge. Glad you passed it by.

Nice to miss out on the hangover - good going!

Will have to try chili choc sometime. Had some before but wasn't impressed. Some brands must be better than others.

The hooch I got to try was Suntory and compared well to Sheep Dip (go ahead laugh, it's brand of Scotch, from Scotland). Maybe worthy of the "Booby Prize". Maybe my taste buds are on my toes?

I'll stick with the known good brands of Scotch & Irish, they work for me. Now what ya got up there north of the Arctic Circle? It's been a while since I've had a nice chilly Akvavit. Send me a reindeer with a little keg under his chin. ':D'

Partial to bourbon, having grown up in the south. Though I once owned a chow with a taste for single malt scotch. My roommate would drink scotch, and sometimes fall asleep in his chair, and I would catch her drinking out of his cup. She wouldn't touch anything other than good scotch and water.

Pretty funny to see a hungover chow in the morning.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.
