I am radioactive right now.
Had to go for a 'nuclear stress test.' Didn't really know what that was. Then the guy tells me I shouldn't try to cross the border for the next two days.
They inject low level radioactive stuff into your blood stream to take pictures of how well the various parts of your heart are pumping.
I don't plan on crossing the border, but I am taking my kids to the airport on Saturday. Hope they don't have a geiger counter there.
Hope I develop super powers. I'd settle for five minute advance knowledge of what the stock market is going to do. That or the chance to go back in time and invest a penny.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

Or so rare that a good vet would have it back on it's feet.

Re: I am radioactive right now.
I think most of us underwent a continuous "nuclear stress test" during our younger years. Duck & Cover (as if that would help), Cuban Missile Crisis, "Fail-Safe", strontium-90 in milk, oh yeah that was the good old days wasn't it?
Seriously though, you might want to carry some documentation about your NST and/or your Dr's emergency number Saturday. Although "you would think" the high security starts at the TSA inspection, there are other less conspicuous security folks roaming the whole place now, and they do have very sensitive radioactive-detection. If you just drop off the kids & drive away, probably no problem. But if you park your car & personally accompany them you could conceivably run into trouble. And those security types like to make a scene you know.

Don't worry Lefty, if your fingernails begin to glow in the dark, then you should worry.

I lived less than a thousand miles from Chernobyl for years. I was in Tokyo when Fukushima went into melt-down. We flew out of Japan couple days after the earthquake when Tokyo water started tripping the Geiger counters... Yes they measured us upon landing at Seattle... I know how you feel. Hope the stress test results are good.
Wishing you and all TAG members plus families the best of health.

						True story
True storey,on the Hudson River
Trolling along the New York City skyline on his boat.the guy was swarmed by homeland sec.
Because they detected radiation on his vessel, turns out the guy was getting chemotherapy for cancer.Thats how sensitive things are now in Big Apple!
Who knows that find may have come from a satellite
Hey guys I got an iPad
So my typing and placement is a bit off,imm working on it,I don't even have to get out of bed in the morning to surf the garage, how cool is that

Re: I am radioactive right now.
I 've had three treadmill stress tests and one nuclear stress test.
The last one I had was a stress with echocardiogram on a treadmill that inclines as the minutes go by.
I had to get my heart rate up to 170 bpm then jump off the treadmill and lay on a table so a tech could take echograms (ultrasonic) of my heart while it was hard at work.
When my wife got thyroid cancer she had to ingest radioactive iodine I-131.
She ended up having to do two treatments.
We're still concerned that the cancer isn't totally gone.
