My mother in law past a couple weeks back.

And the Misses, bless her heart...

has made me keep her remains (ashes) in the shop for safe keeping.

So.......

How many good uses can YOU find for a mother in law well past her

"best when used by date"?... LOL...

First off Andy sorry to hear that your mother-in-law pasted on.

Second, how can storing her ashes in your shop be safe keeping :?:

I know I would probably have accidently knocked the urn off the shelf or bench by now. :)

No worries, the shop is safer than letting the misses think about whats in
the box, she had dinner once next to my grandfather

no peeking, one of the aunties said she had moment with her deceased
husband than had to be resolved with a spatula.

Still trying figure something out for her, shes in with the resistors,
safe and well cataloged, gives new meaning carbon composition....

The kids are alright, but her cat is pine-in a bit, we did a year of palliative
home care, and things are all right, even with her passing.

CARBON COMPOSITION! Man I like your style. In all honestly , we are all here to meet death face to face. Some will see it as a big surprise and some see it coming for years. Being on a shelf next to a bunch of parts and tubes would be grand for me but the lady would probably rather be spread in a rose garden somewhere. If you had to help care for her for a year I know this is happy-sad for your family. You will be blessed for the compassion. You could relic a Fender amp with her but really-take her somewhere she loved and let her go when nobody is looking.

"I could relic a fender with her".... thats a hoot.

There's gonna be a get together, tree planting maybe, a quiet family observance,
and when the moments right, a party, funerals ain't for the dead you know.

But until then she's in the shop.....

Weird thread......LOL

I have a friend Curt, who worked together side by side for years with his best friend named "Bub". We lost Bub to cancer a couple of years ago and he was cremated. Curt took some of Bubs ashes mixed them with some paint and painted his bike with the paint. He also has a little jar of ashes hooked to the bars so he can "take Bub for a ride" every time he goes. 8)

I think he might have sprinkled some of Bub's ashes at one of the Nascar Tracks also. (Bub's favorite place).
