My son's other guitarist was in the hospital and I sat in on a gig. Two female singers that can really wail ... one was sick and was a bit off her game but was a real trooper. Didn't screw up too much with one day's preparation. But I got to play with my son ... don't get to do that enough. The camera mic clips on some of the low notes ... overwhelmed by the sound system occassionally. But I had a blast.
Used my LP Traditional through the D'Lite w/6L6s and a 1x12 EVM12L open back. He's using a Schecter Tele through my old Mesa Mk1 (gave it to him on his birthday a couple of years ago) through another EVM12L. Shortened it to just the solo.
Me and Mike just screwing around on some blues ... singing is not our forte but fun was had ... there's some more D'Lite stuff here too (at about 3:00). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZw1sJuk8Ck

That was great! It very special for me to get to play with my son. We are both drummers and it isn't often we get to play together. I have a birthday party every year and invite all the musicians I know. We rent a hall, tap a keg, put some burgers on the grill, set up a sound system and just play music for about 8 hours. We had about 40 show up last year for the party. We set up both my kit and his and got my brother Richie up on guitar for an impromptu Whippin Post with 2 drummers. It was a great time playing with both my son and my brother at the same time. Good times are few and far between. Cherish the moment.
No trouble at all ... I did have to learn two sets fairly quick ... I only put 3 songs here. But most of them had a funky groove to them and I can't really get enough of that.
