Slammed my middle finger in the sliding door of a van couple days ago. It's appropriate, I wuz thinkin' about a gurl. Nail turned black, fingerprint turned red. It's like this: I noticed my two motorcycles parked side by side have the same rear tire (duh!), it was an idle though superimposed over this Betty who has occupied way too much mental real estate for the last couple months. A simple task, too much processor used up already, then a thought floats in... wham!

Got the whole CD changer loaded up w/ blues, it's appropriate. David Gilmore cops B.B. King while coverin' Muddy Waters. I'm thinkin' about a gurl, fingerin' the scars caused by other women. It's a Blues mood. It's so perfect, you can't imagine!

I'm strapped in David Lindly mode playing tons of slide. It was my right hand so I can get away with it...... Its gonna hurt tomorrow though, I guarantee it.

Actually that sucks. I once sliced my finger with a box cutter just before a gig, 5 stitches in my right index finger. I learned to hold the pick with my middle finger real fast.

Heal fast.

I sliced open the tip of my left index finger on the day of a gig once.
I'm a righty so I really needed that finger.
I tried an old bowling trick, I super glued the finger back together.
Only had to wipe off the blood and re-apply the super glue once during the gig.....
