So......where were we? Oh yeah! So, did both Neil Young and Rick James use Lockard amps?
Oh noes, we wandered so far off topic, Mynah Birds got loaded on ripe casu frezzucu and sailed right off the edge of the flat earth in Neil's electric powered car. Without a Laggard amp in sight or hearing. That's the way the cookie bounces. Hey it's Garage Talk. Usually entertaining, occasionally funny, not guaranteed to be informative. Sing along now, round and round and round we go . . . everybody knows this is nowhere.

FWIW I think any of us could whack together some version of the Laggard. Seems to be a juiced up Champ. Run a 6L6 single ended thru a pokey SE output transformer rated for 10-12 watts for some safety headroom and ability to transmit low frequenies, pre-filtered power supply so hum is low, go to town in the preamp, an extra triode stage or 2 for gnarly lead tones, voice as you wish to satify your ear. 32 ohm output optional. Let a thousand Laggards bloom, to misquote chairman Mao. :D

I thought we had a deal that you would not come back and I would not out you publicly.

Do you want to review our deal once more before making your life crazy? I only have to drop 3 or 4 notes to create mayhem for you.

Remember?

"the lockard amp is $2800 because the cost is over $2000. it's clearly a labor of love, and an expensive one. it's hand made USA labor, and it's top notch construction by an insanely high end amp builder."

Pretty costly amp, see if this one works for anyone :D :?:

Hand crafted both cabinet and tube amp pentode front end push pull 6V6 cost to make under $800
