Just came across this thread. I know exactly how heavy this wait is for you and Diane having recently gone through similar mental torture with my daughter's illness. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife.

Well, good news!

We just got an email from the doctor stating that there was only residual iodine uptake in the neck.
There is no evidence of spread to the lungs, skeleton or elsewhere.
So as I understand it, the iodine isotope did it's job and killed the cancer cells.

So I am taking that to mean the treatment worked.

The doc wants to see her in three months for a follow up review.

This is a load off of our minds and I know Diane will feel better now.
