Hi Mark,
I wanted to add my best wishes for a speedy recovery. It's amazing what the docs can do for you these days. I'm sure you'll find your are feeling much better once you get past this initial recovery period. God speed.

Thanks for your kind words and support.
I'm very lucky, taking it slow, and trying to get my arms to function properly.
My lovely spouse is taking such good care of me, sleepless lady.

Went to the office today to turn in my key and ID card.
I retired from Federal Service today 1/31/2012 with more than 32 years total, feels good to look forward.

Thanks guys, got my first cardio rehab tomorrow so I will see what that consists of.
My right arm is getting better, vein harvest sites on left arm are now itching but the left leg has a freaky looking long scar on it, that one will take longer
My veins were so deep they had to slice deep to harvest grafts.
And no I have not been doing anything but resting.

Girls love big scars. You'll be a hit at the shore this summer. Just work on the abs in the meanwhile!M Fowler wrote:My right arm is getting better, vein harvest sites on left arm are now itching but the left leg has a freaky looking long scar on it, that one will take longerMy veins were so deep they had to slice deep to harvest grafts.
[Just trying to give you a little smile and in no way making fun of what you're going through. I know its not easy for you at all. Please don't take it the wrong way. Wishing you all the best!]

Retirement is good. More time for building tube amps!
He who dies with the most tubes... wins

Hey thanks guys appreciate the kind words.
Went back in hospital 2/1 and got out about an hour ago. Had an infection requiring IV.
Geez they sure don't let you rest on that cardiac ward
