I didn't paint the silver one. It is an Allparts I got a deal on.

The last sparkle finish I did took about 90 days to get the lacquer deep enough to start cutting. I think it took about 5 months total but that is tremendous boat sparkle.. huge.

In theory, theory is the same as practice. In practice it's different.

Those are great, my fave PRS since 1989. My buddy has one with Duncan 59s and he stripped it to make it vibrate more. It was already silly resonant! Craycray with a wax finish.. don't do it!

I don't think I have seen one of those National Style 1.

The bridge looks different.

Does your guitar have a pickup?

No pickup in spanish model, but they made three of these as prototypes. I have the only one with a deco board.

The spanish model is a tricone. The hawiian is a nocone. The bridge is part of the pickup. There is a triangular piece of ply under the faceplate.

That T isn't the bridge or any part of it. The tricones have a three legged spider shaped like that T with a maple insert as would be seen on a Dobro with a bridge cover.

1970s Japanese (I think) COPY of Ibanez "lawsuit" COPY of Gibson Les Paul

I picked this up off Craigslist in Eureka. I thought I was buying a 1973 Ibanez 2350, as shown in catalog photos. No logo on headstock. I talked the buyer down a bit, felt I had a good deal, and rushed out way too fast, before noticing that the body is made of plywood. No excuse. Totally boneheaded move.

So I've been making a less lemony lemon out of this guitar. I replaced the crappy bridge, nut and tuners with guitarfetish stuff. The good news is, the GFS Shaller-style locking tuners are very nice, as is the $1.85 graphite nut and the bridge with brass saddles.

After a little fret work by my buddy, it's quite playable. And the Dimarzio pups sound great. The body is lightweight and feels good, only 8.5 pounds total. But don't she look sweet? I think this is the cosmetic equivalent of "guyliner."

Happy new lemonade day!
