Then they went on and did another 15 years as the "King Cotton Jazz Band" added piano, sax, trombone, banjo and the guitar player played trumpet. Played dixieland at all the fundraisers, fairs, and festivals all over nor cal.

I really should sell off a few of my amps, I'll never use them and I could buy so much more amp-building supplies, but when they say "Traynor" and "Sunn" on them, well...

I have had trouble selling amps locally or even guitars.
I can't even price them high enough to cover parts let alone labor.
Not sure if it is a demographic type thing or there just aren't the type of
guitarists that buy custom amps.

We operate in two places. One is a total lie and the other is a total bummer. It's rare for someone to pull out cash and pay for anything. I don't care what it is.

My recent experience is that items in the sub $500 range sell pretty easily on CL - if it's desirable in the first place. Anything more expensive does better on national sites. Ebay still is king for items above $1K in my experience. Reverb.com isn't much better than CL IME. I am not happy to report this. It is my recent experience.

Reeltarded, my twin brother and I have often discussed that very thing. There are nights you feel really on, and for whatever reasons, if just fizzles. And some nights, you may feel like mung, but the stars align, and the show is just magic. Those are the nights we all live for. I play both bands and solo, and there is no feeling I know of that touches those nights when it all comes together. It's almost worth schlepping the PA by myself. Almost.
Re: HOW MUCH DO I NEED?!?!?!?!?!
Reverb.com sales depends on popularity of the brand, my Redplate combo sold within 1 week at a very good price, I was happy. I got my price plus shipping and paid instantly.
Craig's list sucks, people want to dicker you down.
Ebay same thing no sales on any think I've ever listed.

Better send in the people with the straight jacket I lost count of guitars
and amps, Yes I'm a hoarder. Just quit the band so I can work my mining
claims go for the gold. So if that pans out this fall I see another burst in my future. I like old wood. Just picked up this one the other day.

Invite me to come dig up metal. I'll bring all kinds of junk and we'll show Parker Schnabwhatsitz a thing or two.
