I've started another 50 Watt Small Special. Got the iron today. I want to build a #102 this year, or some sort of ODS to replace the 3rd gen I built, which I'm not that happy with. Just one good channel switching amp will be enough for me. And maybe build a Manzamp as well. That should do it for the year.

Stay away from the Teflon coated cake pans. It's really hard to solder the grounds.

Hopefully this year I will turn out the JTM45-ish thing I've been collecting parts for. I'm also slated to build an AX84-ish SE EL84 thing for my nephew. Last but not least I have been curious about the Firefly or something similar, to use up some of the 12AU7's I have laying around.

All it takes is time and money! In reality, I'm lucky to pull off one build a year. My new years resolution is to get brave enough to post some gut shots on TAG.
Don't you boys know any NICE songs?

i know what you mean about finding time... my NY resolution is to not get stressed out while working on my projects. too much of that during my state fair build. unfortunately its lead to a sort of roadblock in progress

way more approachable to breadboard a tremolo circuit than commit to drilling holes on an amp chassis

I'm trying to decide what to do next
I have a set of MC AC30 transformers for some more el84 quad fun. 2 ch with top boost side and a parallel ax7 for second channel? kinda sounds like a Matchless HC30 but with 12ax7 instead of a ef86.
600v PT and MC tweed super OP trans for some 6L6 thing. Parallel v1, vol, PI, cut to OP?
Hammond Traynor 50W OP, a multi tap MC PT, and chassis for maybe an Express.
bunch of chassis and more transformers

ooh, how bout a 6k6 express with an AC15 OP trans??????? That sounds like fun. I still haven't tried an express circuit.

can't decide

I'm collecting parts to go with some cheap russian tubes to make 4- 5 wattish
builds for my closest friends as gifts for their support. Each one will have some parts from an old SS organ my wife's aunt and uncle gave us that I wound up deconstructing. Chassis, knobs, components etc.

They think I'm being nice, but I'm just building up experience by using them as guinea pigs. They all have much more impressive rigs, but we all get to laugh, swap songs and showcase our delusions of adequacy. It's kind of a sidetrack from my list of I Wanna Builds, but seemed like a chance to use my powers for good, against my natural tendencies.
It's a guitar amplifier. How hard can it be?

I've got more parts than you can shake a really big stick at, but I stepped out of building about 4 years ago for various and sundry reasons. I want to start building again, but I don't know if it will happen yet.

I've got a mutant BFDR that I started quite a few years ago that has an SRPP reverb driver and a 12AT7 for 2-stage recovery. I have the turret board populated and the chassis drilled and ready to go, but it's still not done. I've got to add another small board with a LND150 mosfet local feedback mixer stage to mix the dry, reverb, and global nfb signals and feeding the PI.

I've got all of the parts for a bunch of amps and I want to build another SEL (AX84 Single-Ended Lead) for when I need more power than I have in my HO. And a 100 watt bass amp. And another JTM45 to replace the one I built but had to sell to cover medical bills. It was far-and-away my favorite amp to play.

Maybe.

I'm trying to find time this year to convert my Marshall 4210 (JCM800 2205 50W channel switcher in a 1 x12 combo) into something more 2204-ish (still in the same combo). I plan to dump the reverb and effects loop and keep it simple.

Suggestions welcome!
