You don't need an organization to deliver aid (and take a commission). Just help your neighbors. Before the Depression there was no "public assistance," no welfare, no government entitlements. How the hell did we forget how to be neighborly?

Well I did a little reading on the Red Cross. Apperently they did not charge for blood BUT in WWII they did charge GI's for food, Coffee and Cigarettes AT THE REQUEST OF THE US ARMY! SO I stand corrected

Got power back last night, many trees down in my area, property damage, gas shortage, big lines at the pump and many homes do not have power yet. It is getting cold.

The power company is working hard to get it restored, and many areas got power back, including us. I actually wonder if these guys from the power company are not too tired to be working with these high voltage wires in the dark...

Jon, Greg, and the rest of us, I hope you are doing well, you are in my thoughts.
