Sorry your pup is still having problems.
Nice of the Doc to lay the blame on you, more ammo for the wife.

Dogs are like family and it really hurts when you can't find out what's wrong.
They can't tell you where they are hurting.

Some signs of pain are excessive panting, pacing, yawning, shivering

We have four dogs most of the time at our house.
One thing I have to recommend to any dog owner that has wall to wall carpet is this little guy.
Indispensable as far as I'm concerned.
In fact I just used it about an hour ago because somebody puked on a area rug.
Hey at least she did it there rather than on the carpet.

gave him a valium and he slowed down and seems to be leveling out with todays 1/2 mg dose. Yesterday he had 7mg so i'm sure he was all sorts of loopy.

So close to being finished with the remodel and wouldn't you know it. Out comes the carpets from the bedrooms. I had the carpets in the living room and music room swapped to hardwood a couple weeks ago. so more dust and more self level.

To add awesome to the mix on the way back from Irvine yesterday an Engine service required message popped up on the R's dash board. No performance issues, but in researching the message it can be as simple as a failing battery to as f'd as a faulty throttle and pump. to the tune of $3000. What a fucked day! guess i'll hook up the computer and check for fault codes later today and then do the dog and pony dance with the dealer. It's not a user serviceable engine. it requires factory codes and swedish hand jobs, it's such a bitch. the porsche is less of a whore for service and the ford... seriously it likes to be abused but it drinks fuel like a gas station is on every corner.

I'm tired of cleaning up potty spots, I think it's time for doggy diapers. It's to hot to leave him outside.

since the loading doses of meds he has not had a full blown seizer, however he's had a couple small ones usually followed by the Lefts for 20 minutes or so. then he passes out and takes a knap for a couple hours.

It's not great but life seems to be stabilizing around the house and moving forward. Rest did the wife good.

When my dog (RIP Tanner) had a seizure I felt so sorry for the little guy.
I got him when he was 6 weeks old or so.
Not much I could do but try to hold him.

He went into kidney failure and he died a short time later.
His death really bothered me.

Last year around Christmas my wife brought this home.
My wife named him Shadow but we both agree that it is Tanner reincarnated.
He's got some Jack Russel in him so he is very smart.

He doesn't replace Tanner but it sure took a little of the sting and grief away.

His best friend is Petey the cat.

Good news the pacing has slowed down allowing LRB to sleep it off for hours without having to walk until he drops. He's still a far cry from himself but he is making positive progress!

Puppies are cute! But I like my shoes lol

PM me a pic of your dog. Finn used to like to run like a mad dog and run into your legs, he'd get going so fast that he'd take your legs right out from under-- or empty all the wastebaskets in the house if you left him home alone---

LRB has been perfectly behaved, doesn't care about other dogs, only barks if he has a reason, never chewed on anything now or as a puppy. Really great with the kid, he lets her dress him up and drag him around. he gets excited run circles but the best part is coming home to him showing his teeth and smiling.. so happy.

Had to double his dose today. Yesterday afternoon the seizers started up again. Took him in for blood work. Nothing like a seizing dog in the entry way when you get tricker treaters lol

The worst that we encountered last night was a poor German Shepherd dressed as a wolf to complement a toddler's Little Red Riding Hood outfit. The dog looked most embarrassed.

gave LRB another loading dose today that will be 9 pills by bed time. he looks like I did on my 21st birthday, well the more like 4am the following morning, but rough is putting it litely. I found him in the bathroom sleeping, maybe passed out in a his own shit, piss, and puke. just like a true rock star.

Sunday LRB actually played fetch and barked at the neighbors. That night the siezers started again. He's been seizing every couple hours. We are waiting on blood work to adjust medication. He must have had a stroke he is now suffering from the lefts - can only turn to the left. Circle circle circle ... Going right.... Circle into the wall.

It's probably about time to put him down but the wife's not ready she hasn't excepted so he's fighting along. It's sad he is a shell of the terrior he once was.

Sorry, it hurts to see our beloved pet suffer.
You will know when the time is right.
