guess i'm the youngest, 19, college sophmore, sociology major.
i build pedals as a part time job... in other words i'm a self employed sweatshop worker. (it beats a resturant job)
i'm currently building a 5e3, it's my first amp build, i'm adding a TMB tone stack and a few other mods. My next build will be some sort of ODS clone.
i've been lurking for about a week.

Hi guys,
Keith Seeley, 33
Mortgage Broker
Married w/2 girls (3 and 20 months) - This is my excuse for being on the board on a Friday night!
I made a few fuzz faces and a BYOC tubescreamer. I then made the mistake of modding my SF Bassman to Blackface specs and caught the amp building bug.
Amps Completed or in process:
Trainwreck Express (finished!)
ODS Clone- just need the cabinet!
JTM45-mocked up just need to wire it.
Trainwreck-waiting for chassis.

* Still a mediocre guitar player after 12 years, maybe I should practice more!?
* I build and repair tube guitar amplifiers. Electronics has been a hobby for about 48 years. Long-range target shooting and ham radio are also hobbies of mine. My avatar shows one of my amps, the King Amplifier Sineva. Here's a couple pix of the Sineva (Ch1 has an EF86; Ch2 has a 12AX7 and tremolo; the output tubes are a pair of cathode-biased EL34s):

Brandon Montgomery
29 Years Old
Logistics specialist, and builder of fine tube amps
I play a Custom Nik Huber Hollow ORCA with double cutaways and a spruce top, a Warrior signature Walnut/Quilt maple, a fender custom shop Rory Gallagher strat, a custom shop limited 59 esquire, and a host of others.
I got into amp building a few years ago when I got sick of buying and selling amp after amp after amp. I bought a book on electricity, then the Gerald weber books, then the Dave funk book, and started building.. A couple years later I started picking the brain of local tech "Fat willie" or "lord valve" of NBS Electronics as he's known on alot of forums (great place to get tubes BTW) and he gave me pointers and turned me on to the N.E.E.T.S. Before I knew It I was selling amps faster than I could build them !
It's great to meet all of you!!!

Dana Hall
52 years old, Married, 2 kids (both grown) and 1 grandaughter
Degree in Industrial Electronics 1974. (I was in the last class to get tube theory Wooohoo!) I am a Network Engineer at the present.
My dad was a TV repairman so I grew up with TVs in parts all over the kitchen table. I don't play guitar but played drums for 17 years in local bands around the area. I've been repairing tube amps since about 1972. I ran my own tube amp repair / mailorder parts business in the 80s (pre-internet) and got burned out about 1990, gave it up and went on to other things. Richie picked up the ball and has been going full tilt ever since. He got me back into amps when we closed our restaurant last year. He kept spouting something about a little 18watt Marshall monster that sparked my interest again.
I don't have a clue how many amps I have built /modded/repaired in the last 34 years.
It's great meeting all of you guys and sharing info on the internet.

Re: Who are we? Let's get to know each other!
Hi there - I learn so much from all of you, thanks for sharing your ideas and brains!!!
Age 54, married 34 years this month to a loverly lady who was once president of the Beatles fan club. Been playing guitar on and off since 1966. Played in a few bands over the years and owned alot of different amps and guitars.
Always wanted to do electronics but was terrified of the math - so I got into programming computers instead - been doing that for 20 years now for a living. I presently do this for a local Police Department. A few years ago I bought a Silverface Fender Deluxe Reverb and learned how to do a cap job and blackface it - been hooked on amps ever since. After all its 1/2 of your sound. I buy old ones - fix em and sell em - self supporting hobby. Have just finished my first Wreck and I'm in love. I have built two 18 watt GDS amps and done numerous Fender restorations. I also have Weber's books and videos, Funk's book, and Torres's also - nice reference manuals there.
I write / record songs and play regularly in a great church worship team and lead a group that plays just about anywhere.
Thanks again!
Steve Dube
