Don't want to talk about it right now. Look at all those cases. So many big cases and so little room. Wow. If you only had more room.

I never had kids so sometimes I have nightmares about who is going to get all my stuff when I kick the bucket.

So here's a guitar you don't see too often... You love em or you hate em, The infamous Jackson Roswell Rhoads. But, this one is different... When I got it, it had a Wilkinson trem, none of the Roswells had a tremolo, to my knowledge. But, it looked factory, as well as the color, that I had never seen on one either!
I just found out that this guitar was indeed factory, when I got it. (Search 1997 Roswell on eBay) It came inside a GUN case with 666 as the combo lock code. Neat. Now that I know that they made less than 200 of this Roswell model, and even less with the tremolo, I'm not quite sure how I feel about all the mods I've done!

Oh well, the thing shreds. All Roswellians have the notorious neck-dive problem. Not mine!!! That's 3/16" steel plate that I fabricated to go along with the alien/Illuminati controlling the universe theme on the back. Took for-friggen-ever to make. Balances perfectly, and it definitely adds to sustain. Guitar weighs a touch over 9 pounds.
I also routed for, and put in an Original Floyd Rose, & a behind-the-nut lock nut. This one came with the aluminum spaceship volume knob, the ones in the catalogue ad do not. Mine also only says Jackson on the headstock, not Grover Jackson.
Thinnest Neck Ever...

Thanks Miles! They come up once in a while, there's this one up right now, they're asking $2350 OBO!!! Holy crapola. I'll just say I paid about 6 bills for mine, before all the work. They're a rare bird for sure, I've never seen another one of these until today. (Bought this 3 years ago, not even a single hit on Google when you search this specific model) The usual ones are rare enough, but can be had for 6-8 hunge.
By usual, I don't mean the aluminum ones...
Another black one is up on the bay, they want WAY too much for it though. I'm always looking for them because I LOVE them... I'll keep you in mind if I ever see something promising.

NO offense to anyone here because I realize we are all above a certain age (so to speak)
I get so tired of the #1 Gibson with the JMP ~800 (or pick your poison) combination.
Even though that is the historic rock tone, I always strived to be a bit different as far as the guitar combination and standard amp combination.
Quite frankly, I could never afford the LP Marshall combination so that is probably more revealing.
So we would do a Stratocaster/ Sunn amp or other cheaper high powered amp. (and of course pedals)
Not the same cool factor but it got the job done.

^^^ Tom,
You mentioned Sunn amps. I used to have an A212. Sadly, I traded it in on ..... I don't even remember now.
Those A212's are dang near impossible to find any more. And when they do show up on the market, they're expensive. Model T's come up from time to time; but they're relatively expensive too.
I sure did love that Sunn A212.

Yeah they were even made up here in the Northwest.
My first tube amp was a Sunn but I couldn't tell you which one right now.
I think it was a bass amp because it had a single 15" speaker cab.

I hear what you are saying Tom. I used to think that way too. One of the reasons I got into amp building is because I couldn't afford all the cool vintage amps I wanted.
In the 80's when the ADA MP1 pre-amp was all the rage. I decided I was gonna go an alternate route. I didn't wanna play what everyone else was playing. I bought this really big rack rig with an ART SGE Mach II processor.
What I learned from that episode was that certain pieces of gear get popular because they sound good. The shit that I bought wasn't bad stuff but it doesn't sound the way the good stuff did which is why it was obscure and not the popular stuff.
A friend of mine told me a couple years ago he's gonna buy a bass. He's getting an Epi EBO. I said are you sure that's what you want for your first bass? it's your one bass instrument....wouldn't you want something a bit more versatile? He insisted that's what he wanted. He had it for a week. Took it back and got a P-bass which is what I told him to get in the first place. It's not the most popular bass in music history because it sux. He at some point bought a number of basses (never another EBO though). At this point he has sold all the others but he still has a P-bass.
Just my $.02
