The image of that buffing wheel and flying mandolin had me laughing all the way to work.

Zippy wrote:When I had the guitar, it looked like it needed a neck reset, so I called Michael Millard (Froggy Bottom Guitars). Michael told me that Paul Geremia had brought the guitar to him with a broken neck. Michael carved a new neck for the guitar and called Paul to pick it up. When Paul got there, they realized they had no case for the guitar, so Paul put it on the back seat of his car to take it home.Zippy wrote:Does that have a label in it that says "To my patient friend. Michael Millard."?mhartman wrote:Here's my old school Stella 12 string. Paul Geremia used to tour/record with it.
On the way home, Paul was in a car accident and the body of the guitar, made of Brazilian rosewood, shattered. The guitar went back once more to Michael, who made a new body for it.
The only parts original to the guitar are the neck block, the top, and the hardware.
Sounded great.
No label in my Stella. Must be a different one. Here's the story on mine (see attached).

Thanks for sharing that. I agree, different guitar. "Love, Murder, and Mosquitos" was a 2004 release - long after I had the other Stella/Millard guitar.mhartman wrote:No label in my Stella. Must be a different one. Here's the story on mine (see attached).
Any guitar toured by Paul Geremia has got to be filled to overflowing with mojo. Enjoy!

No problem. Yes, much mojo to be had in it. Now, if I could only play it like Paul does... :.)Zippy wrote:Thanks for sharing that. I agree, different guitar. Here is my #1. She's a 2002 R8 I purchased new from a now defunct local dealer named Vintage World. She is sporting PAF's from 1961.

2007 1968 custom shop firemist quilt top.
A little heavy but nice tone. Darker sound than my other LP's.

This Strat was my first guitar build.
Nitro finish, Callaham hardware, Sperzel lockers.
I originally installed the Dimarzio Area noiseless pickups.
Have tried several more, forget what is in it now.
