I am a big Hendrix fan and have read and researched a lot over the decades. My expectations are probably hard to meet. My main issue is 'the book was better than the movie' syndrome. There is a lot of fiction in the movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed the PBS doc. I thought it was well done. I thought Andre portrayed Jimi well in several areas. His mannerisms and speaking voice were very well done. He was very awkward as a left-handed guitarist. Probably not easy to crack that in the 6 months or so leading up to the movie. Maybe that was too much to expect.
