Not far from where I grew up that was a swamp creek with a beaver dam and we used to catch those like crazy, we called them hybrids.

Hmm never heard them called that we have hybrid bass a cross between whites and stripers. And Kentucky bass which is a cross between black and brown bass.

Some people call em rock bass but they aren't any kinda bass at all they closer to a crappie. They typically like rivers i dont know of anyone that has them in their ponds. As far as I know they aren't a hybrid of anything

Come on down buddy lots of room.

Shoot I figured there places in Cali that make it look like a dump here.
I be been to the rockies and its something to behold but I like it here the .plus their creeks dont have smallmouth.only place I've been to that is any prettier was the smoky mountains. Lot less people here well depending on where you go I avoid the party floaters.
You go down this stream all drunk and not paying attention you're liable to end up drownt washed under a tree stump.

I helped two young girls .probably early 20s.that got their canoe stuck under a downed tree. their panty waste boyfriends couldn't get it out. The canoe was totally fucked. And the guys left them to go the rest of the way in a bent up canoe that was taking on water didn't even stay with them to help dump the boat out when it got full.
I stayed behind them fishing and I would catch up to them and help them dump the water out of their boat and portage it around the places that were to gnarly for a canoe.

I wish there was more limestone here.

There are some great lava caves in Central Oregon, which is a volcanic paradise. :D

Beautiful!

I have to brag a bit, but in Oregon you can travel from the beaches on the Pacific to the Willamette Valley (Wil-lam-it) where I am to the slopes in the Cascades to the high desert in Central Oregon onward East to pretty barren desert geography with a lot of Indian history as well as the later white pioneers.

This is the Crooked River running through Smith Rocks, a popular rock climbing destination.

Many Western Movies were filmed in Eastern Oregon
Rooster Cogburn 1975 (year Structo graduated interestingly)
"The film was shot in Oregon, in Deschutes County, west of the city of Bend (for the mountain scenes), on the Deschutes River for the whitewater rapids, and on the Rogue River in the counties of Josephine and Curry, west of Grants Pass (for the river scenes). Smith Rock State Park was a setting as well; the Rockhard/Smith Rock Climbing Guides building at the park entrance was originally built as a set for the movie, where it was portrayed as "Kate's Saloon"."

I did city life for a bit not for me but I admire folks that have the strength to do it. The money was nice but I just can't cut it.

Hey, every state has something great to offer.

Sacramento has that great Railroad museum in Old Town.

My mother in law lived there for years, sorry.
