Mark, it appears that I also might be your long lost nephew. Now, do what every cool uncle would do. Send me an amp for my b-day! :D

Mark, congratulations! :D I would guess that words cannot express your emotions regarding your family. How did you all find each other? I would love to hear a little about that.

Fantastic! I count 6 out of the 17. Do you know where any of the others are, or is there more to discover?

Thanks everyone.

We were in Grand Forks, ND living in my grand parent's dirt floored garage.
Times were not good, no work for my father and mom's hands were full raising kids and grandma wanted us off the property. No idea why my parents thought having 12 kids at that time was normal or how they thought they could feed that many.

State of North Dakota had enough and we became ward of the state placed in the Children's Village, Fargo, ND, I was age 4 at that time. Spent some time there and in about 4 different foster families but I had medical problems tumor in my left ear and respiratory problems so was given back to the orphanage. Until two wonderful foster parents took my older brother Alan and myself in when I was 7 and I stayed there until I graduated from high school.

Thirteen of us met in 1970 or 1971 so we keep in touch off and on. But recently my sister Linda said she would come to Minnesota and meet the family the end of June 2013. Two days ago my neice was snooping around on google and found a add on cousin connect.com showing information name and date of births consistent with my two lost sisters Barbara and Donia as well as lost brother Glenn.

Connected with them and now the face book friending is full bore. Talked to my brother Glenn for the first time since he was a baby.

Mom had written down all names and birth dates in her bible so we had that to go by.

It is quite the story, Mark. This sort of thing IMO is the single best outgrowth of the electronic age. I thought I was doing OK when I caught up with a friend last week (we shared a house in college) I haven't seen in about 38 years. What you've got, is a miracle. May you have many happy days from finding your family.

Thanks guys.

When I was in the Marines my brother Richard got a hold of Red Cross and they got a hold of my command. I was notified my father's death and I said which one? They looked at the message and said Glenn Fowler Sr. I took the next flight to Tampa, Florida for funeral at Lakeland, Florida. That was the first time I had seen my father and mother since I was age 4.

After that we moved my mother back to Grand Forks, ND where she lived until her death.

I really feel funny telling all this on a amp building forum but you guys are the greatest people that I consider friends. Thanks for listening.

Oh by the way I have had a wonderful life surrounded by great people that were not my blood relatives but still cared for me as if I was related. I fooled those people huh. :)
