I personally don't like any candidate since Goldwater, so you see me clearly.

Everyone acts like a child now, or a mother. (The candidates)

That's what I wanted to hear. The equal and opposing forces of opinions. I agree with some, and not with others. It is a diversity
of people... even here.

I have never been on welfare, food stamps, or unemployment.
Generally have worked for myself most of the last 40 years. 30 years as a full time musician, and made a very comfortable living all over the US.

I had a trucking biz that worked fine, and up to snuff with my Biz plan. Just didn't figure fuel quadrupling in a few years. The oil thing
is a whole other story. The things I could tell you about that...

Anyway, we need to all remember that we are Americans, and must strive to match the storm with the same intensity and strength of our Fore Fathers. Our Country hasn't been the same since JFK, it's time to think about the changes that have occurred since then.
What is acceptable or not is in our minds and hearts,

Thanks for responding to this, and God Bless the Republic.
Mike

I don't vote and thus I don't bitch. Maybe I'm still just too young and dumb to care, but if I remember correctly from my 6th grade discussions on government, the electoral college makes the decision anyways. Does your vote really mean anything?

Some people, some people lost. The winners get to govern. We sort of come together for awhile and do all again in two years.

hey, at least we legalized herb - no more spending money on locking people up who want to 'sit there and do nothing for a little bit'

at least theres a touch of reprieve - and believe me - us washingtonians aint gonna let anyone take away the right of public consent and decree.

screw the government - they just want all your money anyways - and they dont have a clue about how to spend it responsibly!

I'm with the a lawyer, a politician, and a criminl a day - their all equals.
it really is a journey, and you just cant farm out the battle wounds

Yeah, I couldn't believe Oregon didn't pass the pot measure.

This is a weird state.

You have two counties in the Portland area that decide everything for the rest of the state.

The voting map was solid red except up in the northwest corner.

I thought the libs would want to legalize pot, if not for the freedom but for the tax revenue.
We do permit the use of medicinal marijuana use.

Colorado and Washington passes recreational pot use.

Frankly I think if a person wants a little escape or to relax, it's a lot better than alcohol.
How many fights have you seen where the people are stoned?

But the turd in the punch bowl is this, it is still against Federal law to possess or smoke marijuana.
They have said they will continue to prosecute people for it.
But, just maybe, the cops won't put much effort in busting people for it unless it is massive quantities.

And additionally, many if not most companies have a zero tolerance for drugs in the work place.
So pre-employment drug screening will eject any person that tests positive for THC.
Ask me how I know.....

Thanks for keeping the peace while we discuss this.
But if it gets out of hand, I'll just delete the political threads.

Except it's still a Federal felony, if they feel like enforcing it.

Yeah, Colorado passed Amendment 64 too. So we will see if the first 40 million of tax on it, goes to schools or not as they say it will.
It is good to get away from the criminal intent, of handling the issue.
It obviously doesn't work the other way. There are more important crimes to go after...

Tom, that county in Oregon sounds like Cook County in Illinois.
The "sucking sound" of the State budget, and controlling force in the politics there. Don't miss Illinois very much.

Medical Marijuana. What a joke.Just an excuse to charge $80 an eighth to sick people. You can't grow it yourself cause the medicine don't work unless they test in a lab first. It could be contaminated or have mold.I guess i should be sending all my tomatoes off to be checked before before I eat them. It's a wonder I'm not dead.

I think it will all be clear in a few days IF the informational jamming media gets out of the way.... After the hangover from the election buzz goes away.
Awww more empty rhetoric from the outsider talking heads which build foundations of monuments to nowhere. Continue to wait in vain for clarity if
must, but folks on the inside know better. Rest well tonight.

"All men dream:but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible."

Anybody else catch the CBS 60 Minutes interview with Obama, the part they didn't air?
It's on their site now.

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50134495n

This will be interesting when the Benghazi hearings happen.
IMO they should have started the hearings before the election.
