can you tell us what it looked like?


Did harmony or Lyle make amps? Both of those sold in department stores.

Had a lot of trouble finding a good image of the Kingston.
One I did find on top of a Magnatone cab looked very err...promising.

My first experiences with electronics as a kid was resoldering the tall capacitor on the PCB in the POS Kingston with 3 1/2 speaker wow what power. I replaced the speaker with one from a stereo consule wow what crap.

Then I started on the old man's tube radio and onto junk yard find roller ring amp. :) Stromberg/Carlson 6SN7, 6N7, (2) 6L6 and (2) 5u4.

I think mine was a 2-8 and I played an original big muff through it. :lol:
