My soul band's new record - download it for free!

Post by oldmacman »

Hey all,

The Soulless Dogs (my band, and the baddest soul band in Durham, NC), just released their second album on Vinyl Records at UNC. It's available to download for free! Check it out at http://www.vrprsnts.com/

The rhythm guitar tracks, and the leads on tracks 1, 4, and 5, were all done with a Trainwreck Express clone I built with the power transformer from an old Gonset ham radio and the output transformer from an old PA. The amp was running GE 6V6's, and either the first or second preamp tube (don't remember which) was swapped out for a 12AT7.

The guitar leads on track 2 and 3 were done with a Carvin Allan Holdsworth Fatboy through a Dumble ODS clone (early '80s 50 watt - thanks to Dogears for helping me get it dialed in). The speaker is a Weber Michigan 12.

Enjoy, and pass on the link to your friends!

Ben
