Amp Building Personal Milestone

Post by Blindog »

Well, after 5 builds and conversions, I've become confident enough to trade in my main gigging amp, a Mesa Lonestar 100w, for a new guitar.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the great people on this forum. Every one of my projects was influnced and/or facilitated by someone here. I joined up in 2006 to learn about Dumbles. I was always an electronics tinkerer, and my only training came from trade school (way back in time, you know, the early '80s) After a lot of lurking, I was about to give up and have someone build something for me. But the guy I contacted to do just that took me under his wing and helped me through the build. And then it just snowballed from there.

Anyhow, it felt good to cut the ties to a production amp!

Cutting all ties with production amps is a great feeling indeed!

Hopefully someday I'll be able to do the same with guitars as well :D
