I think the real issue, independent of political affiliation or generational divide
is that we are faced with our own dependency, upon the economy and public
institutional structures that we don't have any real control over. This is purposeful. We live in a republic.
By not being more active and using the democratic mechanisms afforded
us in our constitution you permit the corporate behavior that we are all
witnessing. The only reason that the credit card industry can get away
with the intrest rates that they impose is because one state has made it legal to do so.
If your are pissed, use your state legislature to the purpose that it was
intended.
This nation started with documents that made it through a legislative process
with the provision that we the people were only given a limited democracy.
