i had a little dealing with Will in the past and i like the guy! So...when i read that he digged the SX guitar (May Guitar Player)...i jumped!
I had just sold a 18w TMB, a 5E3 and all me pedals... and, had little cash to spend...
Them SX SJM 62 were sold out...so i ordered a SX SJM-57.
Took two days to reach me by FedEx...Cool! I'm east of Peco remember.
One box. No damage, but.
Think Jazzmasterish humbucker maple neck.
Removed the relief with provided Allen Key and new strings installed.
The 6th string nut was way too deep, touching first fret...Fixed that with a piece of string underneath. For now...New nut will be installed later on...
Intonation was set by eye at the Chinese factory and needed a fine tuning.
Pots are mini sized and the switch is cheap but ok. We'll changed that later.
The bridge Humbucker will eventually be changed for a little more output.
Tuners are ok for now.
200$ total! I'm impressed!
So i ordered another one. SX SMJ-62 3TS. Same body, Jazzmaster tremolo, P-90 and Rosewood neck.
Can you dig it?

Got my TV yellow 57 LP jr copy from Rondo bout 2 yr's ago for a 100 buck's, THE BEST BUY I ever made on a new guitar by far, the Paint was first class, tuner's were only fair, the PUP's were fair,
I installed a bone nut cut for 12's, installed better tuner's, pot's were Large, installed Duncun Vin P-90's, setup and new string's, made a great player that make's it one of my fav's, I'm thinkin about a Tele next, it's hard to beat the price !
Love mine,

Re: Rondo Music's SX Guitar Caper...
Interesting...I'm not at all familiar with them. It's good that guys are giving the forien stuff a fair shake rather than just writing it off as crap. I've loved the Japanese guitars since the late 80's back when "Jap was crap"...now they are all the rage.
I've been thinking about an LP or some other Gibby type guitar on a budget that I can kick around the apartment.

Full Circled !!!!
Nice guitars guys...
I'm still impressed... fast delivery...on par with Hoffman and Ceriatone...
Played 10 hours on it...
Tuners are good. Mini pots also. I may eventually put in Spertzel and Pec. We'll see...
Bridge bucker p-u is too weak and thin sounding.
Rondo offers an Alnico set, but i had to order Strat p-u from GFS, so, i went for a set of "Vintage 59" Classic Alnico 5 Zebra hummers.
I'm sanding the back of the neck today...i may eventually remove that Poly coat all together to lighten it a little...
Picked up my first guitar in 65...a Teisco. But soon went for a used late 50's Tele. Stayed true to vintage Fender up till 76, when i stopped playing all together and just...huh er... listened to music and got in to serious diy'ed he-man tubed hi-fi rig...
I purchased a used American Standard Tele in 2000 when the diy train hit me hard...installed Kinman's... sold that... and proceded in buying cheap guitars instead...frugal dude...
Got me a good stable of different Strats, Tele, etc...that i can...huh... tweak without remorse...
Same goes for amps...all i have are clones...Big thank-you-note to all the hard core internet dudes that keep this great hobby alive and well...
