I stared at the Liverpool for a year and replaced the tone stack caps. (huge win) One of the orange caps was passing DC and it did more than make the mid pot scratchy. So, mid pot (PEC) IS ACTUALLY a little shitty, but the cap WAS failed.. haha.. so, compound-meta failure.
R7 is 56k amd still breaks up a little early and I find the top end of the volume knob to be useless.. but it's very nice with the guitar rolled back.. so we know it's working as intended now..
Ok.
Moved tubes around. Amperex in V1 with volume at 4 sounds like Tie Your Mother Down with a PAF. That's cool. It makes me struggle a little for sing without any boost. That is ok. Texture is voxy, general face is a little bit marshall..
I wish I could sneak a little more clean out early.. meh... transients are INSANE for an amp around 30w. It nips spikes that rival some of my 100w stuff. Yikes!
