Seemed to work for me .. at least it did in the show "unread posts" view. I'd expect a search would also have them masked. Or perhaps not.

And yes, regardless is still imperfect as their messages still appear in my unfiltered views.

Exactly, that's all we need is another creator of spam. Agreed, delete the post and get rid of the member. I think there should be some spring cleaning in the site. Deleting people who join to sell something.

Yeah I did it the hard way at first and was deleting them one topic at a time, until I found a way to delete all of a user's posts in one fell swoop, then it got tons easier

Not today I'm not, we've got to put our dog to sleep in a short while, so it's family time for a while. Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to work on that. I did get one user that seemed almost like they got hacked for a simple password

was a normal username and normalish sounding email address, and opened the account like a year ago, and never posted... they probably culled the userlist before being stopped /sigh.
